Petition For P8.00 Minimum Fare

No way, the jeepney drivers have gone overboard. As a student I will definitely oppose to this kind of petition. This is not right. Great! if they want to earn more, then why not maximize their driving time. They need to work to earn money and not just ask for this silly petition. I know the gas price has been increasing but come on, everything is increasing as well. Please don’t add this one to our country’s problem. There’s a way for you to increase your “KITA”, and that is to “DRIVE MORE”, “PAMASAHERO UG SOBRA PA SA NA-ANDAN”. Okay???!

Bai, P6.50 na!

I was in the jeepney when I heard the old lady arguing with the collector ( “conductor” as what Cebuanos call them). She  kept on arguing that she’s a senior and that her fare should not be the same as that of the regular passengers. Without showing the guy’s courtesy he insisted the new minimum fare which is now P6.50. It started May 21, 2008 and you can see that in paper. LTO has finalized it already. Well, I couldn’t blame it to the jeepney drivers, the gas price has reached the most expensive price it could be. I wish it will not increase anymore!! So, wherever you’d be heading at, add .50 cents on the regular fare. I do understand. For me, it’s also one way of teaching “US” to value how important money is even on its lowest value. Mind you, if you don’t pay right you’d be talked about especially the passengers. SO please bare with the new policy. Follow it to avoid further headache. hahhaha!!!

So, how do we deal with those jeepney who hasn’t been posted with the WHITE PAPER??? DO WE STILL have to PAY 6.50??? Hmmm…Let me think.
